as far as we know. no one on the floor was responsible. we're not even sure that the string was intended as a noose at all. there is no reason for any of us to make a noose, and we feel like this is being blown out of proportion and that our floor is being unfairly viewed.
We'd like to say that we are in no way trying to attach any negative stigma to the 6th floor of Jewett. We only have the information we're given, and we will fully acknowledge the fact that no one on your floor was responsible, if that's what you claim. However, this will become a big issue over the next few days, and we don't think it's being "blown out of proportion."
As far as your growing reputation as "crazy," just look at the comment above your's.
i'm anonymous no. 2 and i'm just going crazy because as a resident of the sixth floor i'm going to have to deal with all kinds of crap for days to come. i don't think any of us is responsible for it- if it was even a noose at all. one of the girls on the floor said she saw it being taken down and that it didn't look like a noose to her. i think it actually might have been an understanding blown out of proportion because of recent nationwide events of which we're all aware. it is well known that the administration here is hypersensitive- so hypersensitive that minority students sometimes complain that they feel like they're being condescended to. (that is based on testimonial, and re: ending sentence with preposition, sorry.) frankly i don't know what to think, but a:
-not everyone on the floor is wild and crazy, and b:
-those who have been responsible for dorm damage/messes etc. have always dealt with it themselves, paid for repairs, etc and handled things responsibly. they are automatically being incriminated for the noose incident, which is unfair.
I disagree. It looked just like a noose, have you seen the pictures? Its not being blown out of proportion , even if it is a year old as some people have said. We should all be discussing this incident. It doesn't matter anymore WHO did it, but let's acknowledge the fact that these sort of things aren't "no big deal."
