Actor Heath Ledger passed away this afternoon from a drug overdose.
At this time his death is being considered accidental. According to TMZ, Ledger was found dead in his apartment at 3:35pm. An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow.
Ledger received an Oscar nomination in 2006 for his role in "Brokeback Mountain," starring opposite Ann Hathaway, a Vassar dropout. He was twenty-eight years old. He most recently played a Bob Dylan-esque character in "I'm Not There" and will be playing the Joker in the upcoming "Batman" film.
