"When you return to campus next August, the 'ACDC Point' will be a thing of the past," the website states.

I might be wrong, BUT, if the Fall semester has 3 months and 13 days (From september to November, plus 20 days in november, minus 7 days for october break), that is, roughly 103 days; and say, the Enhanced plan offers 193 buffet meals, that adds up to..1.87 meals a day...WTF? and that's the enhanced one...I guess we will really have to take advantage of the all you can eat and leave ACDC literally rolling down the steps...:-(

I'm not liking this new plan.

What if I want to get a mere cup of coffee before my Blodgett or Kenyon class? I'm not going to waste an entire "meal" point on that one item.

And that's just a tiny complaint.

I usually take my ACDC food to go, so I won't be taking advantage of the all-you-can-eat buffet as much as those who regularly eat there. If I'm not getting the same value out of my "meal" points as they are, I don't think they should be worth the same.

This is frustrating and inconvenient. Maybe someone can pacify me with some other points/corrections. Please do.

hey people, if you've got a problem, email your student leaders who represent you on this issue! don't just complain here (although you can to do that too and entertain me). nate silver, morgan warners, and the food committee representatives from each dorm would be happy to discuss this with you.

wow guys, come on now. the buffet style thing in the cafeteria is the thing a lot of colleges do. if you just want to get a coffee or something, you don't go there, there are other places on campus to get a coffee -- acdc is a cafeteria, not a 7-11. I do agree though that the 1.87 meals/day is kind of strange (that sounds more appropriate to the standard plan than the enhanced), but i think it's at least a step in the right direction. also, don't forget that 1 point at the retreat now equals $1!!

yes don't forget about how much better the new point value is. currently we pay way more than that:

Plus: $1.54/point
Enhanced: $1.68/point
Standard: $1.85/point
Minimum: $2.29/point

so moving to $1/point on ALL plans is a significant improvement
