VSA Elections Continues

With only hours left to file for candidacy, Summer's-Grace Green '09 has entered the race for VSA President. SG is the third candidate to file for the position, after Maryrose Myrtetus '09 and Jimmy Kelly '09.

In the Class President categories are Luis Gabriel Trujillo vs. Hobie Fuerstman for 2009 and Joseph Redwood-Martinez vs. George Gao (whose platform involves a bunny named Cougar Love...hmm...) for 2011. So far no one has announced his or her candidacy for 2010 President.

The race is heating up! Check back after 5pm for the final list of candidates.

I really hope no one files for a lot of those positions. It'll just show how damn bureaucratic everything is.

jimmy is clearly the most qualified. he knows this school incredibly well.

MR is the most articulate candidate and best respected by people who know all three...don't count her out...she's getting my vote

i've heard only positive things about mr. but i also think that jimmy has the edge on experience - he also has a much better candidate's statement.

can't help but to read these comments with the presidential primaries in mind.

those of you who are supporting JK for his experience, I hope you're consistent in supporting clinton as well.

"but wait, that's not a good analogy because..."

whatever. the experience parallel holds.

this isn't even a contest. jimmy can provide the strong, community-based leadership that Vassar needs right now. sg is really abrasive and i've never ehard of maryrose.

gao's 'bunny' statement was absurd. i really hate it when people take the vsa to be some joke like that. i'm surprised the board of elections lets that kind of stuff go through...

on the other hand, the student body presidential race is going to be very close in my opinion. all of them are very good candidates.

I wonder who will be the best that is for sure, but look at the people we have to vote for, there is really a chance for change.

How about a woman to run VSA, when was the last time that happened?

Don't get all Hillary Clinton on my butt, I'm just sayin' you know? This isn't like some stupid parallel to the presidential election.
