Looks like Boredat won't be going back up any time soon. The "blog" now states:
"It is clear that the Boredat project can be a very dangerous platform when applied to an extremely volatile community."
Extremely volatile community? That doesn't speak very highly of us.
JP continues, "This blog will remain available for campus-wide discussion. What is on your mind? What issues need to be on the table? Post your thoughts to this thread."

it doesn't speak highly of us because we didn't speak highly of ourselves.
vassar kids are 90% psychos
Blame Vassar, not Boredat... after all, Vassar accepted us.
most of the vassar students on that site did a pretty shitty job representing our school....
..on another note...if anyone knows someone who took an unlocked purple, teal, and white bike from the Cushing lawn bike rack on founder's day, pleaaassse have them return it to cushing. I would really appreciate it.
I read Mads pretty frequently, and I really don't see many people abusing the "Comments" section very often. I don't know what that says, but I'd be willing to guess that maybe Vassar isn't really entirely volatile, but that there are definitely some students who want the kind of malicious gossip that was being dished out on Boredat. Those students found (and started) Boredat to serve those needs and that's why it got out of hand. I DON'T think it got ridiculous because "vassar kids are 90% psychos."
i think that we can blame Both! :)
kids need to stop being dbags
sites that promote dbaggedness dont need to exist.
guns don't kill people!! people kill people!!!
but people invented guns to kill people, so if the guns didn't exist they wouldn't kill people. not in that one way atleast.
guns don't kill people, apes with guns kill people
- charlton heston
god rest his sexist, racist, anti-semitic soul.
:)
charlton heston > vassar
2:29, don't ever post again. you're retarded.
embarrassing.
guys - I posted the "guns don't kill people!! people kill people!!!" comment and I just want to say WHOA!! no need to be so cruel.
2:29 - "guns don't kill people..." is a slogan that the NRA and its supporters use to divert attention from the fact that guns make it much, much easier to kill people, and they are designed to kill.
for anyone who remembers the old gossip servers, i think it's pretty fair to say that kids at vassar can't be trusted with anonymous (or semi-anonymous) message boards. we're all way too bitchy and catty.
AND, at least this didn't taken a student's parents suing a website for libel because the school wouldn't do anything.
6:00 pm, the good old day, yes i recall those glorious comments so full of filth that even a pig could get nauseated. and now we rely on freshmen to give the little amount of stinking gossip left. pathetic
guns don't kill people, people do....but I think the gun helps.
