Journalist Elizabeth Kolbert will be giving the William A. Starr Lecture this September.The "common reading" for the incoming freshmen is Kolbert's Field Notes from a Catastrophe: Man, Nature, and Climate Change.
The theme this year will be environmental awareness.
Kolbert will address the Class of 2012 and the extended Vassar community on September 25th.
