A representative for Campus Dining tells Mads that the renovated ACDC will be open to all students on Wednesday, August 27th.
Student Leaders will have some meals during Training Week in ACDC. These meals will be served buffet style.
Here is what we know about the updated dining center.

yeah, i move in the 25th too...i have been told there will be food.

i keep fixating on all-you-can-eat chicken tenders. i'll just grab a huge handful and smile on the inside because t.c. can't be all strict about only giving out four and maybe i'll do that weird complicated skip from the wizard of oz. if they don't have all-you-can-eat tenders, i'm going to cry.

I'm worried about paying for guests. On the old system I would have plenty of points to buy their meals...but now I'd have to use my meals for them? I hope we'll have enough extras to do that.
each meal plan comes with 10 guest meals
Ask your friends what they want to eat, pile up your tray, and say it's all for you. If they question you just yell at them for being judgmental about what a big eater you are. Have your friends go in through a back door. That's what I'm planning on. There better be a back door....
Do we still have trays? Hopefully they didn't get rid of them.
There are no trays. It will be mildly inconvenient, but it will also cut down on water used in dishwashing by a huge percentage.
Is this the end of traying?
you can still get a tray if you ask for it.
i took 4 for traying...and now they're in my basement for later in the year... :-) won't the Retreat still have the small blue ones?
I know they SAY it will cut down on water, but the type of dishwasher they use (at least previously) is constantly running, conveyor-belt style, regardless whether it's a dinner rush with every compartment full or a dead time when nobody is in the DC.
So hopefully they changed the system?
