Last night's Broken Social Scene concert was a hell of a way to start off the school year.Passion Pit began their set immediately after the fireworks and played for about a half hour. Broken Social Scene took the stage at 9:30 to chants of "BSS! BSS!" The band played for over an hour. Highlights included one of the band members crowd surfing, as well as the band bringing up a freshman to perform one of his original songs.
The show was hot, so much in fact that an amp by the drummer started emitting smoke and almost caught fire.
ViCE concludes its "Back to School Week" tonight with a screening of the campy flick Zombie Strippers.

um, no, they were one of the nicest bands to come our way in a long time
