Wow, last night was lame. I'm all for freedom of expression, but what's going through olmec's mind when he remixes (read butchers) Kanye West? "Yeah, kanye's one of the best out there but I know what his song is missing!" WTF?

why would you even DJ if you're too pompous to play what people actually want to hear? i don't get it. aren't you doing it for the sake of giving people something to dance to? if they're not happy (or if only your friends are happy), what's the point?
if he wants to DJ with a mostly pre-determined set and play/remix bullshit so that the people dancing get distracted/disgusted, why doesn't he just plug in his headphones and prance around his dorm room with all that expensive equipment.

Lol, Kanye was probably thinking, "I can make this song better because I'm the shit." Then he went on to win a grammy for butchering it. Nick, you may have the same thought process as Kanye, but not the same skills.
I've never mixed and therefore fail to appreciate what you're doing. I could maybe listen to your stuff in my room, but please let's (at least sometimes) trust the pros when in the mug. Btw, props for the link to Hi Haters... care to remix it for us?
Stop being ridiculously arrogant about his set. he's making the kind of music that he wants to hear and giving the rest of campus a chance to dig it too. If you don't like his remixes then that's your opinion, but it sure as hell doesn't mean you get to insult him and be the authority on who's good enough to DJ the mug. He's clearly dedicated to this, and just because he doesn't yet have the skills of extremely popular and talented DJ's doesn't mean he's bad. Believe it or not, some talents take time to progress.

what is wrong with you people? there were tons of people at the mug last night, who were pretty satisfied/happy with the music.
He's sure as hell better than any other DJ's that could be spinning in the mug, maybe it's not for everyone but that doesn't mean you need to hate on him about it.
If you want to hear all the songs you "like" maybe ABC was great for you.
But anyone can play itunes, Nick's a DJ, which means yeah, he's gonna remix songs, he's gonna fuck with songs, and not everyone will like it.
Deal with it, if you don't like it, don't go to his shows.

wtf the mug was amazing last night. were lucky to actually have djs here who CAN mix. wanna hear the same songs over and over have your own party and enjoy it but don't complain about the fact that theres something else to do on a saturday night
olmec's awesome. hence the excitement on mads when he's going to dj. you dont all have to like him, but it's pretty obvious that enough people on campus do..
