The Beets, British Rock Band popular in the late 1990's, seemed to vanish from the rock scene as quickly as they appeared. Their last tour in 1996, Killer Tofu, ended in Bluffington quite successfully; however, the band's front man, Monroe Yoder, nearly died of an overdose shortly after when he mixed a bottle of unidentified pills with a Vodka/Beet-juice chaser. Their disappearance from the scene was originally met with protest, lead by the Bluffington High Class of 1996. Self-Proclaimed Number-One Beet's Fan, Douglas Funnie, lead the masses of fans, exclaiming, "You gotta shout your lungs out!!", an excerpt one of the band's chart-topping singles, into a megaphone whilst leading a protest outside the rehabilitation center Yoder checked into in early 1997.

After a decade of silence, the band was largely thought to have broken up. However, in the early months of 2007, rumor spread that the band had once again entered the studio to create a comeback album. Sure enough, the band's manager, Douglas Funnie, dispelled the rumor in a press conference, informing the public that The Beets's new album will hit the stores in time for the Holidays. The title of the album still remains a secret, but is expected to quadruple the sales from "Killer Tofu"
