Our friends at Blog9 tell us they will be calling it quits. The reason: lack of support from their blog team and readers.
Blog9 started last year and gave a personal view of Vassar from several individuals. Many of the bloggers, however, opted not to return this Fall and posts became infrequent.

Nothing against the people who ran it, but the new format absolutely sucked and all in all it was just a pretty bad blog...
Just curious, why was it so bad?? I never got a chance to read it.
It was shallow, insipid, mundane, pretentious, and overly cutesy. Plus, no one read it, which is especially embarrassing given that they had like a zillion bloggers (granted, all they did was ramble on and on about dumb-ass daily musings). Of course, the existence of their blog didn't cause any harm or anything, so it's not like their flop will affect me at all. I'm just saying that I can see why it was so unpopular.

Aw--I feel bad. It was a cool thing to try out even though it didn't really work out very well.
