More Details On Tonight's Party

Mads has high expectations for tonight's Forces of Nature party, hosted by Strong, WOCA, and the Vassar Greens.

We're told that in addition to details previously announced, the Planet Earth series will be projected on the ceiling and walls of the Villard Room. There will also be compostable cups at the water stations in an effort to be more eco-friendly.

Respire and Morton Sutton will be the Villard Room DJs for the night, while WOCA will be holding a "Mother Earth" party in the Mug. There will also be a film screening in the MPR.

10pm to 2am tonight!

ok. i know strong tried really hard. but. i hate to say it. it was really lame.

then why say it?

Holy cow.
That was the best party of the year by far.
Amazing Music.
Great atmosphere.
Animals on the wall.
Earth beach balls bouncing everywhere
Plus, there was a girl with a whole branch in her head.

The best thing about it was that there was enough room to dance, and every single person there was clearly loving it.

GREAT JOB STRONG AND GREENS.

NY Times article about colleges dealing with the economic crisis... Vassar and Cappy are mentioned (in a really positive light, too)!

oh man, no one came, but it was so much fun. the music was so good [way better than halloween]. it's too bad no one came out for it.

yeah it's a bummer. There was a really sad turnout (the only thing that made it lame), but the music was really good and it was fun despite the lack of people. Hopefully next time more will show up.

so glad someone else recognizes the horrible music from halloween, i can't believe they charged me for that DJ

the noyes/cushing party was MUCH better. nice try strong

what is with the anti-strong trolling here? perhaps you might get a life?

Anonymous said...

oh whatever. "bad" music is relative. not everyone likes techno. not everyone likes hip hop, get over it.

why can't I say anything on this campus without getting personally attacked? I don't sense any anti-strong sentiment. In my opinion, I thought Day-Glo toga was a better party, that's it. There's no bashing of Strong. you should probably take your own advice 4:56

Bad music is relative, sure. But having a dj with talent is key.

Having a dj with any talent, actually. Just putting on iTunes is NOT djing

There are a lot of DJs on campus who just put on iTunes, but the ones from the Strong party both do almost entirely original mashups and material.

the Planeteers were awesome

and so sad strong girls write to themselves to make themselves feel better, about a party that clearly sucked.

I had a great time! Though it was lame that not a lot of people showed up, that wasn't the necessarily the fault of Strong.

its true that it wasn't packed but it was real fun

I really liked the party a lot. I'm so so glad I went.

this partay kicked ass...

not from strong, and I agree the music was rousing and the decor creative. go strong! i think post-halloween fatigue was the problem...to parties back to back, a bit much. I predict low numbers for Moulin Rouge.

but fuck yea Paul and Conner!

I expect Moulin Rouge to have high numbers, seeing as how many people didn't go to Forces. It's not back-to-back for them!
