I know this is a completely unrelated and inappropriate comment, but Sen. Specter from Pennsylvania just switched from the Republican to the Democratic party! Once Al Franken is finally seated in Minnesota, the Dems (including liberal Independent Bernie Sanders) will have a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate!!!!! Whoa!!!!!

Why is the VP student of life changed????????

Why would anyone have appealed the results??

Rachel held her own during the debates and now Elizabeth, who could barely articulate anything sensible is now the VP of Student Life...is this system flawed or is it just me...

and on that, based on the fact that just by the number of votes all the way up to Count 8 Ben Chase had more compared to Gui and he still got the position "without reaching the quota" ...

there is something seriously flawed with the system...or at the very least ... not right...

The was I interpreted it was that she herself appealed the results and removed herself from candidacy:
"Rachel Gilmer, designated winner for VP for Student Life has withdrawn her candidacy"

Also, Gui received the largest influx of votes in the round after Janeen Madan was eliminated - meaning that a signifiant portion of those people that had voted for Janeen placed Gui as their second choice.
