The Misc Returns With Orientation Guide

After taking a few weeks off since its special graduation issue, the Miscellany News is back with an online guide to Freshmen Orientation.

The guide offers an extensive "Vassar dictionary," which explains the different acronyms and nicknames on campus, including everything from the Acrop to Midnight Breakfast. There is also a detailed guide to each house, key issues to expect this school year (the economy), and much more.

Check it out!

Is it just me being trollish, or is it slightly misleading that the article on housing omits a description of the Terrace Apartments, Town Houses, and South Commons? From reading the article you get the impression that each of the dorms is pretty much comparable in quality, but as we know...

On a related note does anyone know what prompted The College to build upper class housing? Did a lot of seniors move off-campus and cause Vassar to lose housing revenue?

I think that the TAs/THs/SoCos were excluded since they are senior housing and the guide was primarily for Freshman wanting to know more about their new dorm rooms.
Don't know how senior housing was created. Interesting question, though...
