Professor Condemns Executions In Iran

Sociology professor Farzin Vahdat is one of many academics who signed a letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon condemning the recent wave of executions in Iran. "We abhor any violation of human rights in Iran and demand unequivocally for the complete halting of the chain of the executions and human rights abuses," the letter states.

It's common for Vassar professors and administrators to sign pledges of support for liberal causes like this. Back in 2008, Dean Roellke signed a controversial document in support of Bill Ayers, a political activist and former Vassar visiting professor who became connected to Obama.
