BREAKING: Major Accident On Hooker Blocking THs

A major car accident on Hooker Avenue is currently blocking the street entrance to the Town Houses from the Raymond Avenue direction. The road is completely closed and there are several emergency vehicles, including at least one police car, an ambulance, and one or two firetrucks. Three or four emergency workers in yellow coats are on the side of the road.

The accident appears to have happened right near the parking lot of Pete's Famous Grill.

Additionally, there is significant road work being done on Raymond Avenue near Skinner Hall, so right now isn't the best time to be driving to class.

Update: Director of Safety and Security Don Marsala tells us the accident "involved a Bottini service vehicle and a car."

Update #2: We've been checking The Poughkeepsie Journal all morning for additional information and they finally posted it: At 9:30 a.m. a 23-year-old in a Savanna GMC crashed into a 71-year-old man in a Subaru Legacy. The older man, who was taken to Saint Francis Hospital with serious injuries, had been exiting the Pete's Famous parking lot at the time. The accident closed down Hooker Avenue for three hours.
