BREAKING: Toro Y Moi Will Headline Founder's Day

[CarPark Records]
The Founder's Day committee just announced that Toro y Moi will be this year's Founder's Day headliner.

Toro y Moi, which means "bull and me," is the stage name for Chazwick Bundick. He released his first album, Causers of This, in January 2010 during the "chillwave" movement of that year. His second album, Underneath the Pine, came out two months ago. Pitchfork describes his sound as "pastoral, acoustic plucks and synth drones with rhythmic purpose, and making retro chic somehow still sound futuristic."

"We're super pleased to bring him," the FD Music Chair Dan Flynn '13 exclusively tells Mads. "It should be the perfect Founder's Day experience."

The committee has yet to announce the full music lineup, although they have confirmed that DJ Respire (Paul Noonan '10) will also be performing.
