Sexual Assault Awareness Week Starts Tomorrow

This week is Sexual Assault Awareness Week and CARES and SAVP are sponsoring events. "Join us in taking action to end all sexual violence," the schedule states.

Monday, April 25 
-Celebrating the White Ribbon Campaign: come pledge to end violence against women! 
-Pick up your 1-in-4 and 1-in-7 shirts to be worn on Thursday in the College Center 
-SpeakOut in the Mug (7:00-9:00): Join us as we reclaim the Mug as a safe space and talk about issues of interpersonal violence and personal violation. Snacks will be provided. 

Tuesday, April 26 
-Pick up your 1-in-4 and 1-in-7 shirts to be worn on Thursday in the Retreat 
-Screening of Rape on the Reservation, followed by discussion with Professor Molly McGlennen (8:00 in the 3rd Floor Main MPR). Snacks will be provided! 

Wednesday, April 27 
- Pick up your 1-in-4 and 1-in-7 shirts to be worn on Thursday in the College Center 
-Lecture by Michael Kimmel ’72 (7:30 in Rocky 300): Mr. Kimmel is the author of Guyland and will be speaking about masculinity in young men and rape culture. 

Thursday, April 28 
-Wear your 1-in-4 and 1-in-7 shirts to raise awareness about sexual assault! You can still pick up shirts at our table in the College Center. 

Friday, April 29 
-Come to our table in the Retreat to return your shirts, do some interactive activities, and get candy! Shirts can be returned on Monday also.
